Canelo v Fielding
I'm sure I'm the only one, but if you're 6'3'', good reach and decent power, you should be troubling the ginger drug cheat cunt. While the boxing world refers to Rocky as brave, I think he massively bottled it mentally.

Someone pin a boxing thread. This SPLAT hurt.

Re: Canelo v Fielding
He hardly bottled it. He was just massively out of his depth. He may have had the height and weight advantage, but there was a gigantic gulf in class.

Fielding tried to trade punches, but Canelo is hard as nails and has one of the hardest body punches in the business.

It was a strange mismatch of a fight, but I suppose Canelo didn’t have to get in the ring 3 months after the GGG match.

I’d like to see him get in the ring with Callum Smith if he wants to call himself a chamipion at this weight.

Re: Canelo v Fielding
Fast car Eddie implementing his same employee protection program that he used for Kell Brook when he threw him to GGG then to further enhance his prospects slung him in with Errol Spence Jnr immediately after to finish him off for good

Re: Canelo v Fielding
I'd expect Smith to trouble Canelo significantly more than Fielding.

Canelo is a drug cheat and I want someone to blow his away, preferably British.

There are going to be many, many more Brits up for the slaughter in the US now that Hearn is involved with DAZN. Expect Tommy Coyle vs Tevin Farmer next.

Fucking pointless, to say the least.

I can still never fathom out that bout - probably a bigger mis-match than Mayweather v McGregor

Re: Canelo v Fielding
Bigot, that’s a bullshit post. They could fight 100 times and it would never go beyond 3. Fair play to Fielding for taking it and good to see a European level fighter earning some decent money.

Re: Canelo v Fielding
Golden - the management of Brooks career by that wanker Hearn has been an absolute disgrace.

There were so many fights that could have been made after he beat Shaun Porter, but because he didn't want him to fight in the US they weren't made. Hearn then has him fucking around fighting Jo Jo Dan, Kevin Bizier and Frankie Gavin, then chucks him in against Golovkin two weights up, then drags him back down two weights to get battered by Erroll Spence?

Massive waste of talent. Brook's clearly got nothing left now and will continue to embarrass himself begging for the Khan fight, which, if it does come, is 6-7 years too late.

Re: Canelo v Fielding
Dicko, fair enough mate, but I think Rocky had more than he offered. I also thought it was daft attempting to go toe-to-toe. Exciting to watch but was only going to go drug cheats way. For me he should have boxed more, cliched and held to frustrate and tire Canelo and used the power being a bigger man brings, but he played Canelo's game and got fucked.

Likewise btw, glad he earned a few quid.

Chisora v Whyte fight on Sky £19:95. Do fuck off.

Iron Duke 9:05 Sun Dec 16
Re: Canelo v Fielding
Whyte v Chisora is not a headline fight.

Warrington v Frampton looks better, but I don’t think I’ll spend a score on it.

Streams for me, though Warren's card has some interesting fights, not least the main event.

Are you on drugs?

Kell Brook fucked his own career up. After winning the World title, he went to Tenerife to tear the arse out of it, and would up getting himself done over with a machete. It nearly ended his career.

He is known in the game for not living the life.

Charoo 10:54 Sun Dec 16
Re: Canelo v Fielding
Drug cheat, he had traces of clenbuterol in his system.

Not exactly test, tren and growth is it.

Nothing more than a fat burner that would have made his body temperature hotter and gave him the jitters

Yet Tyson Fury is a hero because he admits brassing, boozing and shovelling out of his nut.

The double standards and ignorance never fail to astound me.

Lobbing gear up your nose outside of prep and competition isn't the same thing. Plus to my admittedly limited knowledge of performance-enhancing drugs, Coke isn't one.

Haywards Iron 11:54 Mon Dec 17
Re: Canelo v Fielding
Eerie - he doesn't live the life, and there a lot of odd tales about his time in Tenerife, granted.

But since the Porter fight his career has been a massive, massive waste, and all just because Hearn didn't want to box him in the US. He's fucked now because he was chucked in with Golovkin and Spence in quick succession after fighting bin men, not because he was running around the Canary Islands.

Eerie Descent 12:01 Mon Dec 17
Re: Canelo v Fielding
I don't agree at all.

Brook is one of the most talented British fighters there has been imo. When you have that sort of talent, if you are determined and relentless in your pursuit to be the best, it will happen.

He won the World title, and got himself served up with a machete. If he hadn't, how do you know he wouldn't have been in massive fights at his weight?

No one to blame but himself.

Haywards Iron 12:09 Mon Dec 17
Re: Canelo v Fielding
He wasn't being held back by his injuries when he was boxing Dan, Bizier and Gavin.

Even now when he has shown some promise at light middle, all Hearn wants to talk about is the Khan fight, which will inevitably be back down at Welter. Light middle is shit hot right now, why not actually test him against the Charlos, Hurd, Lara, Munguia?

He's not going to win all of those fights, but he's wasted so many years of his career fighting no hopers we haven't really seen the best of him.

You may well say that he should be pushing for those fights himself, but I think he could have/should have had a decent career if he'd gone to America like Khan did years ago.
